more-inWater consumers in the city will be able to pay bills online shortly, as the Mangaluru City Corporation has taken steps to this effect. Linge Gowda, Executive Engineer (water supply) at the corporation, efforts would be made to implement it from March 1. The Executive Engineer said that eight teams have been constituted to recover pending bills. Since then, the monthly collection of bills has crossed more than ₹3 core since the past two months. Till then, the monthly collection was up to ₹2 crore.
