The BikeMaps.org reporting portal was originally founded in 2014, but only seven incidents have been reported in Peterborough in that time. “BikeMaps.org says that about 30 per cent of bike crashes are reported, which is quite a minority,” said Sue Sauvé, chair of the committee. The cards are available at local bike shops, the GreenUp office on Aylmer Street and B!ke: the Peterborough Community Bike Shop on George Street. To report an incident, cyclists can go to BikeMaps.org or download the iOS or Android app. “I think that when we all work together, we can make the system safer,” she said.
