Online recruitment activities in the month of June 2017 registered 11 percent year-on-year growth, according to the Monster Employment Index.Among top growth sectors, Banking/ Financial Services, Insurance led long-term growth chart with a 44 percent year-on-year growth followed by Home Appliances (up 34%). Baroda (up 36%) followed by Ahmedabad (up 20%) recorded the steepest year-on-year growth. (down seven percent), on the hand, saw online demand ease below the corresponding period a year-ago. Month-on-month, online demand eased by two percent. However, short-term growth parameters suggest subdued hiring demand even this month; month-on-month (no growth); three-month (down seven percent), six-month (down one percent).
