The roll will take place April 2, the Monday after Easter, on the South Lawn of the White House. Last year, the White House drew criticism for being late in planning the big springtime event. Typically, months of logistical planning go into the White House Easter Egg Roll, which has drawn crowds of roughly 35,000 parents and children.
