Disturbingly, offline violence, including physical assaults and arrests, often follows online abuse, with some women having to flee the country for their safety. The research further reveals that online abuse against women in Ethiopia is normalized and accepted, making it difficult for victims to seek support. CIR calls for urgent action to address the online abuse of women in Ethiopia.
