The OnePlus 6 has not even been on sale for a week, but the vocal OnePlus community is already calling out the Shenzhen-based manufacturer for removing an exciting feature from the handset through a firmware update that is available to handsets fresh from the assembly line. Why did OnePlus release their latest flagship device backed with the AOD feature, if they intended to remove it within a couple of days? I suspect that the removal of the ‘always on option’ will have more to do with an issue somewhere in the display software.
