One person taken to hospital after crash in Hawke's BayCHRISTEL YARDLEY/FAIRFAX NZ Pakowhai Rd, near the Hawke's Bay expressway, is partly closed after the crash. One person is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash near an intersection of the Hawke's Bay expressway. Emergency services were called to the scene near the intersection with Pakowhai Rd shortly before 5pm on Wednesday. A police spokesman said the crash happened between Links Rd and Chesterhope Rd, and involved a car and truck. The road is now clear, and the serious crash unit is investigating.
