Two cars caught fire after a collision on The Coastal Highway State Highway 60 in Tasman. A fatal crash on Tasman's Coastal Highway has left one person dead. Two cars were involved in the crash on State Highway 60 at the Mapua turnoff on Sunday morning, 2am. A fire service communications spokesperson said crews from Mapua and Richmond attended the crash. The Serious Crash Unit was on scene and road closures were in place between Apple Valley Rd and Gardner Valley Rd.
