One person sustained moderate injuries after a house fire in Waharoa. One person has suffered burn injuries after flames ripped through a house in rural Waikato. Fire and Emergency New Zealand were called to a blaze in Waharoa, near Matamata, at 1.12am on Sunday. Northern communication shift manager Paul Radden told Stuff the building was well ablaze, indicating it sustained significant damage. St John transported one person to Waikato Hospital in a moderate condition.
