A motorist was taken to Timaru Hospital after a vehicle crashed in Twizel. One person has been taken to Timaru Hospital in a serious condition following a crash in Twizel on Tuesday afternoon. A police spokesperson said they were notified of the single vehicle incident on Glen Lyon Rd at 3:12pm. The exact circumstances of how that happened are still being determined,” the spokesperson said. A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson said a single car had gone off the road at the corner of the Tekapo-Twizel Rd (State Highway 8) and Glen Lyon Rd.
