One person dead in crash near Te AwamutuDAVID WALKER / FAIRFAX NZ The police serious crash unit is investigating. A motorcyclist has died in a crash near Te Awamutu after smashing into the side of a bridge. Emergency services were called to the scene at Roto O Rangi Rd about 5pm on Saturday. The road is currently closed and diversions are in place on Storey Road and Long Road. The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance and police expect the road to remain closed until at least 10pm.
