Police say a person is dead after an incident at a home in Motueka's Memorial Drive, pictured, however the circumstances are unclear. One person is dead and a second critically injured after a serious incident in Motueka. Police said the circumstances are not yet clear, but they were called to the Memorial Drive about 8.40pm on Sunday. One woman said she saw the rescue helicopter take a person away from a reserve next to the Motueka cinema about 9.45pm. The person was taken by ambulance down Old Wharf Road to the waiting helicopter.
