One of two missing soldiers found dead - Nation


KUALA LUMPUR: One of the two soldiers who were reported missing at sea since Monday has been found dead.‎The Army said in a statement on Thursday that the body of Kpl Mohd Faizol Rosli was found about 30m away from Pulau Perak at about 10.45am on Thursday by a team of divers from the ‎Special Navy Warfare Force (PASKAL). ‎The statement said that the remains of Kpl Mohd Faizol was brought to KD Mahawangsa at about 11.44am and would be flown to the Butterworth Air-Force base. Kpl Johbartlee Kanil and Kpl Mohd Faizol, who are members of the Malaysian Army Fourth Battalion Royal Ranger Regiment (4 RRD), went missing about 4.40pm Monday. The Army also said that the soldiers based in Oran, Perlis, were on duty at Pulau Perak near Langkawi at the time of their disappearance.
