The US Air Force has even stressed how dangerous and illegal this could be. "[Area 51] is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces," a spokesman said in a statement. It is thought the group intends to meet at the Area 51 Alien Center in Amargosa Valley, Nevada and then proceed to Area 51 – a classified remote part of the US Air Force’s Edwards Air Force base. Warning signs at Area 51 even state that the use of lethal force is authorised. He added: "It’s very easy to click 'going' on a Facebook event, but it’s much harder to actually go – especially to somewhere as remote as Area 51.
