A man believed to be in his 20s was fatally shot in Markham early Thursday morning. According to York Regional Police, emergency responders were notified just before 1 a.m. about a shooting on Hillwood St., near Bur Oak Ave. and McCowan Rd. The victim had multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a local trauma centre where he was pronounced dead. Police said the suspect or suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to speak with investigators.
