One person is dead after a temporary wall fell in an accident at a Pickering construction site Monday afternoon. The accident happened where an Amica seniors’ home is under construction at Pickering Parkway and Glenanna Road. The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development said two other workers were also injured in the accident. Durham Region police tweeted at about 2:30 p.m. that one man had died and the other man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. “Our thoughts are with the family and colleagues of the workers at this project,” she added.
