One person killed, several displaced in fire incident in Mukuru slums, NairobiFire razes Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums leaving many displaced. One child was killed while 13 others are nursing injuries after fire razed down houses at Commercial slums in Nairobi County.More than 200 families were left homeless following the fire incident on Saturday. Fire fighters from Nairobi County managed to put out the fire but after it had flattened many structures. The two armed men were wearing balaclava when they raided the home of the 75-year-old businessman at the weekend. Police suspect the gang had prior information on the presence of the weapon and jewelry in the house.
