One person has died and two others were injured after a metal hut at Tin Sam Village on Tin Ha Road in Tin Shui Wai caught fire today. The fire, which began at about 12:47pm, went out of control and spread quickly to three nearby bungalows. Two breathing apparatus teams and two jets were deployed. Firefighters rescued a female who felt unwell after breathing in smoke, and a male who suffered injuries in face and leg and required treatment in hospital. About 20 village residents were evacuated during the blaze.
