Police said Metcalfe Rd is closed between Pooks Rd and Ranui Station Rd, and diversions are in place. Northern fire communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said the person was struck at Ranui Train Station. Auckland Transport tweeted that Western Line train services will stop at Henderson because of an emergency at Ranui.
