more-inFire broke out at the boondi-making kitchen located outside the main temple of Lord Venkateswara on Wednesday. The panic-stricken staff members inside the kitchen and the pilgrims in the queue abutting the laddu counters ran helter-skelter. The fire was believed to have broken out at the third and fourth giant-sized ovens in the first row inside the kitchen and later spread to the other ovens, and then to the exhaust fans. A major accident was averted with the timely arrival of the fire tenders. He termed the accident as unforeseen, and said the mass cleaning of all the temple kitchens were being regularly done on every full moon and new moon days.
