A ramp on to the Southern Motorway at Mosgiel was closed for much of this morning, following a car accident which has left one person in hospital. A police spokeswoman said a car crashed on the Quarry Rd southbound on-ramp about 11.50pm last night. The single occupant of the car was taken to Dunedin Hospital with moderate injuries. The ramp was closed from 12.10am until 5.40am while debris was cleared from the road. The cause of the crash is not known and police are investigating.
