Deganga: A 20-year-old woman from Deganga who had given birth to a boy two months ago died late on Wednesday after suffering from fever since November 17. The pocket in North 24-Parganas and its adjacent areas have lost as many as 45 lives to fever over the past month and a half. The family got her admitted to Barasat District Hospital on November 19. Residents said four people had died in Atghara and its adjoining areas over the past month after suffering from fever. The doctors at the healthcare unit collect blood samples from a certain number of patients daily and send them to the Barasat hospital for the NS1 (Antigen) test.
