Friday Olokor, AbujaAt least one person was feared dead and many others injured on Tuesday during a clash between the police and members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria popularly known as Shiites. During the protest, the police were said to have fired shots and teargas canisters to disperse the Shiites and in the process, one of them was hit by a bullet. The President, Academic Forum of IMN, Abdullahi Mohammed, told The PUNCH said that many people were injured during the incident. According to him, IMN would soon be releasing a statement on the incident.
