One person has died in a tractor accident near a Far North beach. "I can confirm one person has died after a tractor rolled at Touwai Bay in the Far North about 7.20pm," police said. "This afternoon, a tractor rolled on a beach in the Whangaroa Harbour, in an area with no road access. "A volunteer team aboard Whangaroa Rescue responded, putting two crew ashore to provide first aid before ferrying St John Ambulance paramedics, Fire and Emergency NZ and Police from the local marina. "Two rescue helicopters have since evacuated three critically injured people to hospital."
