One person has died in a fire that broke out at a residential block in Kwai Chung on Sunday morning, RTHK reports. The Fire Services Department said at least two people also felt unwell from smoke inhalation and about 200 residents at Kwai Yue House in Kwai Chun Court were forced to leave their home. The blaze started in a unit on the fifth floor before 7:00am, and it was upgraded to a number three alarm about half an hour later. A resident at the block, surnamed Chan, that she had heard sounds of three explosions, and that the fire alarm had only rang about five minutes following the incident. Firefighters used two jets and two breathing apparatus teams to extinguish the blaze, which was eventually put out at about 8.30am.
