One person has died and several others feared dead after two fuel tankers collided and burst into a ball of flames at Mukhonje market along the Webuye-Eldoret Highway. The dead person was a boda boda rider who was fell on by one of the trucks that were burnt beyond recognition. An eye witness Fridah Wanyama said the driver of a truck ferrying diesel fuel lost control. As a result, his truck rolled down a slope and hit another truck ferrying petrol from behind before colliding a lorry that was transporting building stones and bursting in flames. She said that one of the trailers fell on a boda boda rider moments before the three vehicles exploded on Saturday evening.
