One person was killed Friday night in a partial building collapse at an Amazon.com warehouse in Baltimore, as high winds swept through the Washington region. In addition, a Baltimore fire official said early Saturday that one person might be missing. A wind gust of 71 mph was reported in the Hampstead area in Carroll County, and roofs were ripped off two apartment buildings in Baltimore County. Damage from a tornado, with rotating winds, creates a different pattern from that caused by straight-line winds. Tornado warnings were issued late Friday night for parts of Prince George’s County, Charles County and St. Mary’s County.
