Police have confirmed a person died after a serious crash on Friday evening on State Highway 3 in Rangitīkei. One person has died and another is in hospital in a serious condition after a crash in Rangitīkei. Emergency services were called to a two-car crash on State Highway 3 at Turakina, between Bulls and Whanganui, at 5.30pm on Friday. In a statement on Saturday, police said one person died at the scene while another was taken to Whanganui Hospital in a serious condition. The serious crash unit had completed its examination of the scene, while an investigation was ongoing.
