One person has died after three people got into difficulty in the water at Karioitahi Beach (file photo). One person has died in a water incident at Karioitahi Beach, southwest of Auckland. The person was pulled from the water, but was unable to be revived and died at the scene. Emergency services were called to the beach about 7.15pm on Sunday, after three people got into difficulty in the water. Two people made it back to shore and were transported to hospital with minor and moderate injuries.
