Photo: FilePolice have confirmed one person has died following a crash involving a truck and a train north of Christchurch. Emergency services are at the scene of the "serious crash" reported on Monday about 7.30am on Mulcocks Rd in Flaxton, Waimakariri. St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said 96 train passengers were assessed at the scene of the crash. The serious crash unit has been notified. The Mulcocks Rd train crossing currently has flashing light signals but does not have barrier arms and motorists are being urged to take care.
