A person is dead after a fire in Tokomaru Bay on the East Cape (File photo). A person has died in a house fire on the East Cape. Emergency services were called to a fire on Tawhiti St, Tokomaru Bay - south of Ruatoria - just after 2am on Sunday. A person was found dead at the house, police said.
