A middle age man lost his life as water flooded three villages in Birninkudu local government area in Jigawa state. Also farmlands with the promising crops at Babaldu were destroyed by the uncontrolled flood that defied efforts of emarkments by the residents of the village. At Malamawa gangaran village, an estimated 150 households have been destroyed however the residents expressed greatfulness to Allah for not causing any death from the incidence. A resident of the area Ali Muhammad said the area has never experienced such disaster since August 2007 when a similar flood swept away houses and farmlands. Mr Faka said so far there were several houses that were reported to have been destroyed by the flood and victims were advised to seek for shelter with neighbours and relatives for the time being.
