Gardaí attached to the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit stopped a car at Bóthar na dTreabh, Galway, and seized suspected ketamine with an estimated street value of €63,000. In a follow-up search at a residential property in Dublin 15, Gardaí seized €5,000 in cash and a quantity of cocaine. The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis and investigations are ongoing. Ketamine is a powerful anaesthetic that is used for animals and humans.
