As members of the Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) filed out to elect new executives for the party, the state deputy governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi was conspicuously absent at the venue of the election. However, supporters of Ajayi were said to be out of the state in preparation for his official declaration for ZLP. Meanwhile, no fewer than 2150 delegates across the 203 wards in the state are expected to vote for their preferred candidates. National officers of the party from Abuja and security officials were on ground to ensure the smooth conduct of the state congress.
