Ondo state government on Saturday said it was not planning any Fulani vigilante to curb the violent Fulani herdsmen in the state. An online media that reported the story also claimed that a Senior Special Assistant, (SSA) to the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu who sought anonymity said that the establishment of Fulani Vigilante came out of extensive discussions with leaders of Fulani in Ondo State. “The state government will establish Fulani Vigilante. The Fulani herdsmen have been subjects of controversy following cases of kidnapping and violent crimes linked to them. But the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the state governor, Segun Ajiboye, denied the story, saying that the state had no such plan.
