Ondo NSCDC arrests two for trafficking girls to Libya


The Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on Monday said it had arrested two persons, Babatunde Oluwasola and Dada Fowowe, for their alleged involvement in human trafficking. He said they were allegedly involved in recruiting three young girls to travel to Libya in April this year. Aidamenbor said, “Babatunde Oluwasola a.k.a Osanle, 56 years, a carpenter from Osun State but resides in Akure recruited three girls from Akure to Libya sometime around April 2023. “He got one of them with the help of Dada Fowowe a.k.a Iya Alaso, 47, a trader from Ondo State. The victims who travelled through the desert to Libya called Babatunde through the agent that received them two weeks after they departed from Akure, Ondo State to inform him of their arrival in Libya.
