PETALING JAYA: A psychiatrist has been charged again at a Magistrate's Court here for allegedly insulting the modesty of a patient through vulgar speech. Dr Gurdeep Singh Narain Singh, 42, pleaded not guilty after the charge was read out to him before Magistrate Nurshahira Abdul Salim here Friday (Jan 24). The charge under Section 509 of the Penal Code carries a maximum five-year imprisonment or fine or both, upon conviction. The court allowed bail at RM5,000 in one surety and fixed March 4 for mention. On Oct 18 last year, Dr Gurdeep was charged with the same offence.
