Father’s Day is one of the happiest days on my calendar. On May 24, a teenager with guns killed 19 children in a school in Uvalde. But this really is a muted Father’s Day. I have listened to parents of some of the murdered children, and to a teacher who tried to shelter the children, weeping because he couldn’t. I’ll try to remember that, on this Father’s Day.
