"I reached court late today as several cars with the connivance of the traffic police were busy picking up passengers at the approach to the AJC Bose flyover. The police later said one of the vehicles hired by a nationalised bank had illegally put up the "Government of India" board. Instances of vehicles stopping at the approach to the AJC Bose flyover to pick up passengers are common. Sources said the judge was heading to the court from the Park Circus end of the flyover in the morning. Caught in the snarl, the driver stepped out to check first, followed by the judge who saw the vehicles picking up passengers and blocking the road to the flyover, the sources added.
