On Monday, Bernice King posted a photo on Twitter of her mother, Coretta Scott King, calling her the “architect of the King legacy.”Martin Luther King Jr.’s youngest daughter celebrated the 90th anniversary of the civil rights leader’s birth by paying tribute to her mother. The federal holiday commemorating the civil rights leader’s Jan. 15 birthday was first observed in 1986. Bernice King admits that her mother was not featured on banners before her death in 2006, but that has changed.
