Chris Geere, the star of FXX’s “You’re the Worst” sat in a chair and pressed each of his hands into a blue metal brick as a camera whirred. On “You’re the Worst,” which just aired its finale (so yes, spoilers follow), Geere played Jimmy Shive-Overly, a pompous English novelist with bone-deep daddy issues. Charlene Chen, the Magic Jewelry worker who interpreted it for him, called it, “Bright, big, strong and sunny. Though Geere, 38, is based in Manchester, where his wife and young son live, “You’re the Worst” shoots in Los Angeles and he has fallen hard for California mysticism. “I’m just a big believer in positive change and getting reminded that you’re still alive,” he said.
