Activist Okiya Omtatah has sued the IEBC, National Assembly, and the Attorney General seeking to restrain them from disbanding the commission. Omtatah wants the court to stop the three from interfering in any way with the operations and affairs of the three-members still in office including Chairman Wafula Chebukati, Abdi Guliye and Boya Molu. He wants the Court to stop the government from withdrawing their security or any other benefits of the office of a commissioner of the IEBC. "It is in the public interest to have a small and lean commission of only three members," Omtatah says.
