Yesterday, the Ombudsman said the commission will help unravel mysteries around extrajudicial killings, as well as bring the executions to an end. Amollo said the commission will investigate extrajudicial killings allegations. President Uhuru Kenyatta has been urged to form a commission of inquiry to investigate increasing cases of extrajudicial killings and disappearances linked to police officers. The call comes a week after 37 local and international civil society groups, including the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, made a similar demand. Amollo said of the 117,936 cases they received last year, 14,235 were against police.
