A garden tour created to raise money for a new sports facility in Omarama was a blooming success after raising at least $20,000 in a day. The Omarama High Country Garden Tour was held on Saturday and attracted hundreds of visitors to the small Waitaki Valley town. Co-organiser and exhibitor Jemma Gloag said she had hoped the event would be well received and raise at least $20,000. MEGAN SUTHERLAND/STUFF The garden tour near Benmore Station also offered a art gallery with works from local artists for sale.
