Omar Khairat –File PhotoCAIRO - 30 October 2017: The veteran Egyptian musician Omar Khairat will perform two concerts in the Kuwaiti Opera House, on November 23 and 24.Khairat is a composer and a pianist. He was born in Alexandria and raised in a family of musicians. The band was immensely popular in the late 1960s and the early 1970s.Khairat is influenced by different genres of music such as Arabic, European classical, Egyptian African, jazz, pop, and blues. He composed many successful music pieces such as “Dameer Abla Hikmat” (Conscience of Abla Hikmat), “Wagh Elkamar” (the Moon's Face) and “Leilet el-kabd ala Fatma” (the Night Fatma was Arrested), among others. Khairat will participate in the 26th Arab Music Festival running from November 1-15.
