Omaha 16-year-old to stand trial on murder charge in Casey's Gas Station shooting

A 16-year-old Omaha boy accused of killing one person and injuring two others during a January shooting at Casey’s Gas Station was ordered to stand trial on first-degree murder and assault charges. According to Lier’s testimony:Police responded to Casey’s Gas Station, located near 72nd and Grover streets, around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 20. When they returned to the car, Fox said, Moran and the other person were yelling at someone on the phone. The two informed Flores and Fox that they had arranged to meet Amaya at Casey’s for a physical fight. At 2:18 p.m., an exterior camera on Amaya’s home near 73rd and Hascall Streets captured him leaving the house and walking in the direction of the gas station.
