As the sun starts to set on the 2024 Paris Games, what a mixed bag of fortunes it was for Team Ireland on Day 14 in the French capital. Mark English and Sarah Lavin gave heroic efforts in their Men’s 800m and Women’s 100m Hurdles semi-finals respectively. Daniel Wiffen managed 18th-place for 10km Swim in the River Seine, but the double medallist at Paris 2024 promises to party this evening regardless. Day 15 promises to entice once again, albeit Irish involvement is beginning to wind down.
