With National Hockey League players barred from participating in February's 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, this month's roster announcements for the participating teams have been met with a bit of a shrug. On Thursday, Russia became the final nation to unveil the list of players it will be sending to the 12-team men's tournament which will take place in two arenas in Gangneung, South Korea — just over 10 miles away from Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium. The tournament kicks off with three groups each playing a three-game preliminary round between February 14-18. The top four will receive a bye into the quarterfinal, then four of the remaining eight will be eliminated after a single-game playoff qualification round on February 20.
