Ex-Super Eagles midfielder, Seyi Olofinjana, allegedly resigned from his position as Sports Director at Switzerland’s most successful side Grasshoppers after a year at the club due to interference, The PUNCH reports. Olofinjana’s exit from the club was announced Monday by the Swiss club. The 41-year-old, who was appointed May 2021 to replace Jimmy Berisha, helped stabilise the club in the Swiss topflight after they gained promotion from the Swiss Challenge League. But a close source to the former Loans Manager at Wolverhampton Wanderers revealed the Nigerian left his role due to interference. Olofinjana made over 50 appearances for Nigeria and represented the Eagles in three Africa Cup of Nations in 2004, 2008 and in 2010.
