MANILA, Philippines — Olivarez College whipped Technological Institute of the Philippines, 93-74, for a fourth straight win while Centro Escolar U dumped St. Joseph College of Bulacan, 120-46, for win No. 3 yesterday in the Universities and Colleges Basketball League Season 3. With Paolo Castro leading the charge, the Sea Lions exploded for 30 points in the pivotal third period to break the backs of the Engineers. Castro finished with 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field while Joshua Almajeda added 12 points, seven assists, six rebounds and two steals for Olivarez. Senegal’s Maodo Diouf produced 15 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and two steals while Rich Guinitaran chipped in 14 points, five boards, three steals and two assists for CEU.
